‘The Last Babushka Doll’ is a short film script (based on my published short story of the same name) directed by Angelo Salamanca – an experienced filmmaker, AWG & AFI Awards script competition judge and former member of the MIFF features and documentary pre-selection panel.
In the mystical Blue Mountains, a paramedic faces his most confronting case – he must decide whether to follow rules to prolong a patient’s suffering or risk his career by ending the patient’s pain.
The film stars actors from some of Australia’s most iconic films and TV dramas: Anne-Louise Lambert (Picnic at Hanging Rock), Don Bridges (Romper Stomper), Tiriel Mora (The Castle), Chris Gabardi (The Secret Life of Us), Beth Champion (Brides of Christ), Joanne Samuel (Mad Max) and Keiran King (The Dr Blake Mysteries).
‘The Last Babushka Doll’ was produced in 2017 and is currently being submitted to film festivals around the world. For more information, visit:
